Homeworld2: Raid Leader


Hi,
It's nothing original to make a HW2 MOD where you can play the fighters as a stand alone spacecraft outside of squadrons. Yet, I went on editing here, adding features there, so I decided to turn into a release.

It's almost done, you can build an Interceptor, a Bomber and/or an assault Corvette. New UI, I'm trying to make it smaller to get more advantage of the screen. It's playable in single and multi-player, so it will be interesting to play the campaign by another perspective.

I'm opening this thread so you can discuss and request things, although I might not be able to acomplish, but I might try ; ]
Obs.: the MOD is not an attempt to make a shooter game.

Yes, if you make squadrons of ONE fighter, you follow the fighter within the battles and dogfights. You can also redirect it to attack other formations meanwhile the conventional squadrons are engaging primary threats.

In practice, it becomes a puzzle, once the AI tends to attack first the lone fighters, so how far you engage and how you notice the enemies squadrons affects your role and survival inside the battle. That's why I claim is not a shooter, rarely you'll see something coming from your front.

I also want to release this because my game play is poor and I want to collect more feedback. I'll make it also an open mod, ppl can send me files for discussion and make add-ons and such.

No new design.
It's a Destroyer with Flaks. I got the pulsar canons from LeSunTzu's Assault Carrier (authorized). I'll use both, so I thought of sharing the same weapon. The intention is that the Destroyer uses the large guns against Capitals and the smaller guns against fighters. I had to change some stats also: price, build time, mass.

B140511 - I left collision enabled by mistake and it was screwing the campaign.
